You'll have to have already completed the main game and utilize a save file to take on this new challenge.Īnother addition introduced in the Strife & Ruin update is a "Demake Area." It consists of a new linear series of stages for players in a classic 8-bit style. Players who answer the Boss Rush Mode call will be assigned scores based on performance and various other factors, with the chance to earn medals based on their achievements. The mode will test players' ability and resolve, as the bosses were already difficult when encountered through the title's standard means. The free update is also adding a Boss Rush Mode to Blasphemous, letting players tackle a selection of courses containing bosses from the game.
Completing Miriam's task will see the player compensated with a special reward. Players will have to hone their platforming and combat skills if they wish to prevail. The task of reuniting Miriam with her world will not be an easy one, throwing traps and vicious adversaries at The Penitent One. Players will embark on a special set of missions centered around precise platforming to recover shards that'll repair a portal and send her home. Strife & Ruin introduces Miriam to Blasphemous and tasks The Penitent One to aid her in returning to her world.
